MailMerge not picking up fields from Contacts

I'm not really familiar with Word/Outlook. Using Microsoft Office 2000
on Windows XP.


I want to a mailing. I've created a test form letter with name and
address fields. The merge is bringing over the street_address, state,
and zip fields, but not the name fields (courtesy_title, 1stname,
last_name, etc.


I'm clueless. Why would the name fields not merge over?

The Office Help site has a lot of good instructions, too.
If you still have questions then you must provide an accurate account of the
steps you are using. Be sure to start the merge from Outlook if you want to
be sure to have access to all of the Outlook fields.


Thanks for the sites. I don't have a manual. (Does anyone actually
print manuals anymore?) And the Help function always seems reluctant to
yield the exact help I need.
