MAILMAPI.dll looks to be an MSN file not an XP file.

%homedrive%\Program Files\MSN\MSNSharedFiles

Try MAPI32.DLL and MAPISTUB.DLL
Mapistub.dll is the backup for the original Mapi32.dll.
They are located in Windows\system32 folder.
If Mapi32.dll is missing,
Edit Mapistub.dll and save as Mapi32.dll.

mailmapi.dll problems

I had the same problem. there is a very simple fix. In your browser select Tools then Internet Options then Programs look for the email section, use the drop down menu on the left side of the dialogue box and select your current email program. Problem should be solved.
