My front end access database runs under Citrix.
The program needs to mail files (no Access objects) and
uses the mail account of every user. That works perfect.
But some external users don't have a mail account on the
Citrix server and are not willing to pay for one.
Is there a way to send mails with attachments anyway, by
addressing the SMTP server directly instead of using
Outlook (with mail account)?

Hi
I am sorry I can't help you but you may be able to help me. I am running Access runtime module (2002) on a Citrix server. I need to e-mail attachments (not access objects) to recipients from the Citrix server (from its Outlook - Administrator e-mail account). I have a procedure to do this but I get an error message (Error No 429 ActiveX component can't create object). I assume it occurs during the command "Set objOutlook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")". I can test the same procedure successfully on the development PC (Office XP Developer environment).

Thanks a lo

Nei
