"mailing list" pop-up window

I was wondering how can i make a small pop-up "join my mailing list" window
on the main page of my website. I am a DJ and i like to send out notes about
my parties, news and new mixes that I put out. Any and all help will be
GREATLY appriciated!

It would be better to place a link to a Join my mailing list page.

Most new browsers block pop ups
