mailing labels various addresses

This must be so simple ( for a 10 year old )
Have gone to microsoft works entered names and addresses, clicked onto labels onwards but on screen is shown "There are norecords to print or preview. To print or preview first add records to the data source "

Would someone out there explain how to set this up from start to finish please .(in plain english)

In Works you have a database module. You fill the fields with your data and save it.
Then you open the label template and I am guessing now-there will be a merge dialog
in tools. Use this dialog to merge your information onto your labels
