mail wont open in full screen

When I try to open windows mail (Vista Home Basic)my default mail progran it
will open only a flashing tab on bottom of screen by quick laumch bar .Could
someone please tell me how to get it to open in full screen

Right-click on your Windows Mail icon and select Properties.
Click on the Shortcut tab and look for Run. From the Run
drop-down menu select Maximized and click on Apply.
