mail with attachments

If I try to open any email with an attachment, Outlook hangs. I cannot right click on the email either. There are also some emails without atttachments, which cause the same problem. I must close Outlook with the "X" and then I get a window to send a report to Microsoft.

I've checked for viruses and security settings to no avail

If I remove and reinstall Office XP Pro, I can open these mails, one time and then I am right back to the same problem.
 
Run scanpst.exe against your pst-file to check it for errors first.
