I tried to forward an email but it didn't do anything. When I try to do it
again, I get the outline of the forward box but nothing inside, Just clear.
Can someone please help? I need to get this out.

Which antivirus are you using?
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or
Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

I have been using Windows mail for 3 months now and it has worked perfectly. After the first posting that forwards were not being sent, all I get now is a blackbox. I can't even see my mail. What's happening?

You did not answer my question, and (apparently) neither did you
take my advice.

Now it is working fine. I am running McAfee which came with the computer. This is the first time it has given me problems in three months. Why would it have a problem with it now? I am not a computer genius so I don't understand the sudden problem with the anti-virus program. Is that still the virus protection causing it ? I hate to remove my McAfee if that isn't the problem because I really like the protection it provides? Sorry about my computer ignorance, I really don't understand the sudden non-compatibility after 3 months . I guess after using XP and then getting Vista and every week having to uninstall, reinstall, disable, enable, add, remove, etc. it gets old. Thank you.
