Would oldversion.com have it?

Why would you expect Mailwasher to reduce your spam load?
Unless of course you fell for the authors claims that bouncing emails
would have some kind of impact.

I didn't necessarily expect it. It was an experiment. And you wouldn't
believe the people out there who are claiming that it is reducing their
spam.

Ahh, there's the rub then.
It's the old "if it doesn't reach your inbox, you're not getting it"
argument.
I'm under no such false impression. Those folks are living in a dream
world if they say any program is reducing their spam. All they are for
is to help manage it.
But "reducing" can probably sell better than "managing" :)

It doesn't physically lower the amount of spam sent to your email address.
It lowers the amount you actually have to download, which in effect could be
interpreted as lowering the amount of spam you receive. It works very well
at doing that, although I now use K9.

Mailwasher does an excellent job of eliminating spam IF you set your
filters correctly. Rejecting emails where your address is in the cc or
bcc fields will reduce 90% of your spam since most spammers are too
lazy to address email directly to you. And your friendly email should
always be addressed to you alone. You should also reject emails where
the Subject or From fields are empty, etc. The bouncing feature has
nothing to do with reducing your spam.

Mailwasher neither eliminates or reduces spam. None. Zero. Nada.
If you check your email, and see spam listed in Mailwasher, it has
been delivered.
What you are doing is training/using Mailwasher to delete it before
you download it to your computer. Using Mailwasher will NEVER
eliminate the spam problem.
The only cure for spam is for ISPs, web hosts, etc to kill all
spammers at the source.
