Outlook express allows me to send mail but not to
receive! This is a new problem - outlook express has
behaved itself for for some years now.

Hi, J.

You've given us so little information that the only thing I can think of is
to check the Properties of your email account (Tools | Accounts... | Mail |
Properties). On the Servers tab, make sure you have the proper server name
for Incoming mail (POP3), which may or may not be the same as for Outgoing
mail (SMTP). The only one who can tell you for sure what to put there is
your own ISP.

Also make sure inbox.dbx isn't read only.
