hi, my neighbours hotmail account does not list his incoming mail in date
order. consequently he has a problem finding the latest incoming mail.

i looked under options, but could not find any option to correct this.

any ideas please?

For Outlook Express choose the View\Coloumns menu option and make sure the
'Received' column is included.

thanks. he does not use outlook express ever; just hotmail.

so would outlook express still affect this? i have OE 6 and could not find
a 'received column' under view>columns.

He means the one called SENT.

Left click on it once sorts in ascending or descending order, another left
click reverses that order.

I think we assumed that OE was being used to read hotmail accounts, in which
case the answer should be yes.

thanks. i went to OE and ticked sent. it has made no difference to the
hotmail date order of incoming mail. when i went back to OE to check that i
had ticked sent correctly i could not access it because columns was greyed
out. i am well confused.

hotmail is not accessed through OE. i dont think OE is used for anything on
his pc.

could this be a problem with the virgin provider?

grateful for any further advice........thanks
