I am in desperate need of some direction. I need to find out how t
create some kind of driver either through Word or Access that wil
allow me to use one data source and 10 to 15 different letters.
Basically, I have all these merge documents with the coding and I hav
the data source (currently linked in Access). My fields populat
correctly, but currently I am having to do each letter individually.
have read various possibilities of creating a main document and writin
some code, but I just can't seem to get this off the ground. I
someone could direct me to a sample I should be good from there. Than
you !

Hi Julie966,

There should be no problem linking one data source to multiple main merge
documents. Can you describe in more detail how it is not working for you?
And which version of Word are you using?

If you want to merge each of the letters with the same data, you could
create a single document that contains the text of each of the letters,
separated by pagebreaks of course, then execute the merge.

Thank you so much for your responses. A couple of problems are tha
these letters change quite frequently and thus we are needing to kee
each one in an individual document. I am using Word 2002. What I wan
to be able to do is create some type of process that will allow th
documents to be accessed based on the age of the person to whom the
are being sent to. I need to have a calculated field in my Access lis
for over or under 18 years old and that will determine which letters ar
to be sent. All assistance is greatly appreciated
