Mail Merge?

I need to print 170,000 small labels, quite simply numbered 000001 to
170,000. I suspect Mail Merge might be the answer if I can get the
numbers to increment by 1 for each label. (I don't know any VBA), but I
could also do with a print "From" and "To" user input facility.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, or possibly advise me on
what literature I need to be reading.

(First Post on this Board, not sure what sort of response I'm going to
get)

If you go to the site in my signature block, select FAQ tab and then
Numbering, you will find several examples of Sequentially Sequenced numbers
using several scenarios.

There's a limit of 65,365 rows in Excel so it will have to be done in 3
batches

Thanks people that's a good start, especially the links referred to. I'm
using Office XP and the instructions seem to differ slightly, but I
think I've got it worked out.......

Doing well so far folks, just one small formatting problem. I used the
Excel solution of creating a list of numbers to merge, but I need the
numbers formatted as 6 digits, so No1 is 000001. I've formatted in this
style in Excel, but the merged result drops the leading zero's. Any
suggestions?

Thanks for everyones help so far, it's been most instructive
