Mail Merge in BCM

I can do the mail merge (a letter posted mail / word doc ) in BCM part OK.
But I cant get the mail merge to leave note in the record it has sent a mail
to.

If it's sent through Outlook and auto-link based on e-mail is enabled, that
outgoing should automatically get picked up by the autolinker. You may want
to re-link the messages in your mailbox. I assume you have BCMV2 installed?

This would be completely independent of mail merge features, which is
clueless that it's dealing with BCM and not just plain Outlook.
