My mail merge function will not recognize my Outlook
contact list selection as data source for mail merge.
Defaults to Access selection dialogue box. How can I get
it to recognize my Outlook contact list selection as a
data source? I am using Outlook and an XP os

is outlook set as your default email program? Does it work if you start the
mail merge in Outlook (contacts folder, select the contacts to merge, Tools
menu, mail merge.)

No, It defaults to the "data link properties" dialogue
box. When I choose "edit contact list" it seems to
recognize it appropriately. But, it inserts "address
block" or whichever information you choose instaed of the
actual name and address. I wish it to insert the actual
information instead of the title to the information.
Thanks RC

My contact files are personal files.
