Mail Merge by Mailing Address

I want to print labels based on the address that has
the 'Mailing Address' box checked on the data entry
screen for the contact.

I can't find a way to do this directly from the Mail
Merge. Then I exported the data to Excel, and can't find
the 'Mailing Address' field.

Thanks!!!

Mailing Address is a derived field. It will not be exported.

I would be interested to know if you can do this in Outlook 2003. I've
found Mail Merge in previous versions to be terrible. It's mainly because
the names in Contacts are displayed in the wrong order (I've found this also
when I sync with my mobile phone and PDA). If you have a Full Name as
"Andrew, Lorraine and Melissa Smith", Contacts put "Andrew" in as the last
name, "Lorraine and Melissa" are the first name and "Smith" as the middle
name. So when you sort out the mail merge it puts the name as "Lorraine and
Melissa Smith Andrew". If I put the names in the correct fields then the
Full Name is displayed in the wrong order, you can't win. :-(

If you could use only what appears in the mailing list, this would solve a
load of other difficulties I'm having with mail merge and Contacts as I
could put their full name as whatever I like. But looking at the fields
that are allowed to match in Mail Merge I see no option for mailing list.
:-(

I cannot repro this behavior. Where are the names displayed in the wrong
order? Sounds to me like you have some issues with how your name elements
are parsed in your Outlook Contacts Folder that you need to fix first.

Hi Russ,

As soon as I press on OK, after putting the names in the right order from
the dialog box with First, Middle and Surname, the name swaps around to
display in the wrong order as said below on the Contacts page (specifically
in the Full Name box).

I've tried it on the another machine and it does the same thing. It's very
annoying. :-(

So what did you set as your default Full Name order in Tools > Options >
Preferences > Contact Options...?
