mail in outlook

When I was trying to check for mail, I hit send receive -
a box pops up that shows the status of sending and
recieving mail... I Checked the box that said "hide this
dialog" -- wasnt sure what it would do.. Now I CANT see
the status of incoming and outgoing messages... I
desperately would like to Uncheck it or put back to
normal...pleeease advise thank you
