Craig

I still cannot get Outlook to be the default for the mail client. I
have tried to repair Outlook to no avail. It still is not listed in the
default programs, but it is checked as the default in outlook. Everytime I
click on a "contact us" link in a browser I get the error code, and them 30+
error web pages come up.
I also have the following issue related to Vista with office.

# KB884202
"You must accept the Office End User License Agreement every time that you
start an Office program"
I have even re-installed Outlook as a repair with no luck.
Please help, this is very frustrating !!!!

Thanks

did you log on as admin and accept the EULA? It may also be the reason why
the default isn't working.

I am having the same issue. If I click on a "mailto" link in a web page,
windows goes into a loop that opens Internet Explorer windows until I can
manage to get task manager open and shut down iexlore.exe.

In Outlook 2007 > Tools > Options > Other the “Make Outlook the default
program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar†checkbox is checked. If I click
on the “Default Programs†button, however, I get a new window labeled “Set
Default Programs > Set Program Associationsâ€, but the window stays blank.

If I access the same windows from Control Panel > Programs > “Set your
default programs†I see that Windows Calendar, Windows Contacts, Windows
Mail, and Windows Mail (News) are set up as the default programs. Outlook
2007 is not listed anywhere on this page.

I should mention that I do not get the EULA message. Just blank windows
opening repeatedly in Internet Explorer until I Ctrl-Alt-Del to stop them.
And it usually takes 5 to 10 attempts at Ctrl-Alt-Del to successfully shut
down IE.
