Probably Access 101 for you guys on here, but.....

Is there a way to send an E:mail, generated by a query, and then have it set
a marker / field / anything useful, that can verify on the query that the
mail was sent?

Many thanks, in advance.

D.

The only way to know that an email has been sent is to ping the mail server
(and even then it's not straightforward) or by getting confirmation from the
recipient.

You can use the SendObject Action/Method to generate and send the email, and
parts of the email(parameters) can come from a query, but, after the query
is sent, Access has no clue as to whether or not anything was actually sent.
It's like dropping a letter in the mailbox. You'll never know if it got
there until it got there, and someone else verifies that it got there. Get
it?

FWIW, Total Access Emailer can help with the emailing.
