mahjong with large screen display for XP

I know there are lots of Mahjong recommendations out there because I have
read most of them, but what I am needing is a plain mahjong for XP, BUT with
a full screen display because my eyes are poor and I need to be able to see
the tile. I don't care about background and tile changes or whether it
offers music. I do like hints, or pairs.

So if you have actually seen on screen how large the tile are or played it,
please recommend a free game of this. If none of them have larger tile than
this free one online http://home.halden.net/vkp/vkp/shanghai_2.html then it
isn't large enough. (I like this game except for my eyes.) :)

If memory serves, XP has special integrated provisions for the visually
impaired that can be easily implemented (either merely turned on, or
downloaded and installed from the M$ website).

Maybe this will be helpful for you to consider, if you have not done so
already.

There are also freeware screen magnifiers available from other sources.

display of mahjong somewhere please?

Been there; done that. I just want to know if there is a full screen

Maybe http://dvalot.free.fr/games.htm Mah Jongg Solitaire (Linked to by
Vegard) is resizeable, i.e. the tiles actually get bigger when you enlarge
the window. Might suit your requirements, but I can't get it to fill my
1024,768 screen unless I drag the corner of the window? It maximises at less
than the full screen size for some reason?

In addition to Valot's game, I wrote the following for 'MyJongg' :
"choose tile thickness, size". And I wrote this "2 tile sizes to fit
different screen resolutions" for MindJongg 4.01 (nagware!)

What is the difference between zip download and install download? I chose
zip and all I did was click on the icon exe and it opened immediately to
play, but didn't install in add/remove. So which way is best for XP please?

That's what all the girls say!

Regarding your other question in this thread, the difference between the two
types of install are that with the zip, you get to do it yourself, whereas
the installer will do it for you. I don't think this program "installs" as
such, in as much as there are no uninstall options or registry entries(I
haven't checked!). You basically unzip to a folder of your choice and delete
that folder if you get fed up with it.

Incidentally, I am using XP Home, so I know it works fine on this OS.
