Hi there Ildiko: You may have noticed that I correspond with a man by
the name of Dick Schweitzer. He is a man you and Ron would enjoy very
much. One of his many forte's is an ear for ethnicity . . .

Tonight, he said to me on the telephone..."this Ildiko Papp" woman you
correspond with, she is Magyar isn't she? I then proceeded to give him
a little or your background coupled with a description of your
personality etc. Me thinks you would both enjoy an electronic pen pal
adventure...I don t remember about his mother, but since I first met
him, in late 1958 at Berkeley, I heard about his Magyar grandmother.
She of course was the purveyor of old Central European wisdom, such as
"gel t reger der veldt" (phonetic) which I assume is both Hungarian and
Jewish...

"Gelt (money) reger (rules) as in rex regis, regent, etc der veldt (the
world.....

Dick is one of the few physicians I have met who has ever read a book.
He enjoys a vastly superior intellect which is melded with no small
amount of humility. One of the best things about him is that he is a
liberal democrat. He dislikes Bush as much and maybe even more than I
do. He also likes Dean and to a lesser degree Kucinich.
