Has anyone tried? Magix movie 4 VHS to CD /DVD.

If so what do you think of it?

Never heard of it. Is it a freebie? Gotta link?

I use Pinnacle Studio 8, although V9.0 is out now it works for me.

And although Pinnacle will burn captured and rendered VCR to DVD, I prefer to use Nero for that, I find it easier.

I did buy Ulead's Video Studio 8 as well, but I couldn't get on with it, might try it again one day.

Floppsy

purchased one from Ebuyer will have it Tuesday, I am new to DVD VHS tried nero/ulead Etc: found them not to be very good:(

Apparently magix is supposed to be a better product easier to use drag and drop etc:

When I used Nero /Ulead it would freeze up??? the program that is could not rectify it, so am going to try this will let you know what it is like later in the week.:thumb:

It certainly looks impressive and a nice price too.

I look forward to hearing what you think of it :)

You will soon know dont worry one way or the other:( :D thats for sure;)

As promised!:thumb:

My results regarding the program [Magix movie to CD/DVD 3] converted VHS from camcorder [10 years old] to DVD and One to CD

Brilliant in my opinion! it by far outclasses Nero and all the others I have tried.

Faster easier editing/drag and drop/record direct to DVD, sound/picture enhancements at a stroke, even after you have made the movie copied it to DVD/CD; and find your not happy with the end product, no problem as you can re-edit the DVD/CD again within the program just insert the DVD/CD into the drive edit again while on the DVD/CD dont have to copy it again it does it all for you with no loss of quality ***** stars. :D :D

Eh? Maybe I'm misunderstanding here, but you saying you can actually edit a burnt DVD-R or CD-R?

I'd have said that's impossible.

Or do you mean you can edit the original file and burn again?

Unless you using a DVDRW or CDRW of course, but I never use them, too unreliable, imo

I tell you what MAGIC would be the word if what you say is true Itsme...;)

Maybe it just adds on the edit instructions or something, or maybe they had an RW...

Another FREE advert ...

All I can say is ... if you need a "cheap" alternative to the likes ... then you won't go far wrong with any Magix software.

"It does what it says on the tin" ... and at the right price.

:D

Well that's two of you giving this thing the thumbs up, I may very well try it :)

Just had an offer from Pinnacle to upgrade to Studio V9.0 for twenty quid though, which is also a good price.

Decisions, decisions......

Quote,

What’s new in Magix 3?

CD/DVD copies any number of discs.

On disc editing –save time and money by editing directly on your DVDs [attach additional slideshows, incl. Menu optimization for DVD+/- RWs you have already burned] unquote;

That’s what’s on the tin,:thumb: and it has done everything I have tried so far eassy peassy, :D :D yet to try everything but so far so good.:thumb:
212 pages in the book PDF.

Aaaahhhh so it is rw's, thought so i only use DVD-r not rewritables as they seem to throw up errors erratically....
