I have been the victim of piracy. My key no longer works. I have
come across this magic jelly bean key finder 1.41. It pops up a cd
key serial #. Is this a number I can use for Microsoft updates
purposes?

The Magic Jelly Bean key finder will show you want Product Key(s) are on the
hard drive. It checks for the XP Product Key as well as MS Office. You
haven't provided enough information to get focused help. How do you know
you have been "the victim of piracy"? If someone installed a pirated
version of XP and used a pirated key, that's what Magic Jelly Bean is
showing you and it isn't going to be useful.

If you want more help, give a better description of your computer and why
you think you have a pirated operating system. Do *not* post the key, even
if you think it is pirated. However, if it starts with "FCK" then there is
no question it is pirated.

Listen, this has happened to many many people. There are 2 ways you can
do this ( and in all honesty I support the first one because I have
never had to result to the second)

1. Contact Microsoft and explain what happened, they are pretty
reasonable about this and will set you right up!

2. (I am not responsible if you do this and HIGHLY only recommend it if
you have NO other choices whatsoever) Go online and find a serial key
for an OEM copy of Windows XP. Or get a program called "rockXP" and go
onto a computer that is owned by a big company (college computers,
larege company office computers) and grab that CD key and use it as
yours. But please only do this if you have honestly been a victim of
software key theft and microsoft has not given you any other options,
except to re-buy windows.
