Macros

I have created a macro in powerpoint which speeds up
formatting for me. I now want this macro to be available
all the time as one of my shortcuts - which I have done
however, it only seems to be able to work when I am in the
particular document I created it in.

Is there an option to save macros globally like there is
in word?
