I was wondering if somebody could help. I've been
recording a macro into the personal macro workbook. It
runs fine. As long as the workbook i was in when i
recorded the macro stays open i can run it on other
workbooks. But as soon as i close everything down and open
a new workbook the macro is not there.
Further, i had several macros with icons on the toolbar
which no longer work becuase the can not be located.
Would anybody be able to help with this?

This is just a guess, but I suspect that the workbook that
can't find the macro doesn't have "VBAProject" selected as
a reference. While in the VBA editor, click on the TOOLS
button on the top menu bar. Then select REFERENCES fromo
the drop down menu. I always make sure that the item
VBAProject is checked, otherwise it won't be searched when
looking for macros. There's a rub though. Very likely
your workbook is also named VBAProject, so you have to
rename it in the PROJECT EXPLORER window. I'm not going
into any more details, because I suspect you already know
all this. Send me an Email if you think this is the
problem, and I'll outline how to proceed. Sid
