Is there anywhere that I can get sample codes that are suitable for use with Power Point presentation. In particular, I would like tho make an Index column that would appear on every page of the presentation, that would, on click selecting the appropriate button, take me to the (click) selected Index page.
I am at entry level with Power Point, but I would like to start actively macro(ing) in this software.
Can anyone help me please?

No macro required. There is a built-in feature called "Action Settings"
that does the trick.

Here is a quick and simple step-by-step to accomplish this:

1. Open your presentation, click "View", "Master", Slide Master".
2. Make sure the "Drawing" toolbar is visible (usually at the bottom of the
screen). If not, right-click in a toolbar area and click on "Drawing".
3. Click the "Autoshapes" icon, highlight "Action Buttons", then click the
top left button (Custom).
4. Place your cursor in a "known" blank area and draw a small button.
5. When the Action Settings dialog box comes up, click the "Hyperlink to"
dropdown and select "Slide".
6. Click the slide that contains your "Menu" that you want to go back to
(should see a thumbnail image of it).
7. Click "OK" to close out and accept. Now you can click the "Fill color"
dropdown arrow and change the button color if desired. Also resize the
button and maneuver it to a location on your Master Slide that you know is
an open are on all your other slides.
8. Click the "Close Master View" button to return to your presentation.

The only thing you might want to do is to create a small rectangle that is
the same color as your background to hide it on the actual Menu Slide (for
the obvious reason).

Hopefully this made sense. If not, click the "Menu Tutorial" link on our
FAQ page here:
