Macros - Excel to Powerpoint

I've created a macro in excel, that creates a chart from a page of numeric
data with titles. When I transfer the chart to powerpoint it looks fine, and
in my print preview it looks fine, but when I print the slide the labels used
to identify the individual bars in the chart come out as solid, black boxes.
Any ideas how I might fix it?

I've tried changing the angle of the text (from vertical to horizontal and
in between) and at a slight angle I can see the text, but it's very blurry
and for a presentation I would prefer that it be straight up and down

The problem, in all likelihood, stems from your printer. Some, probably
yours, do not handle transparencies well. They have problems printing the
clear parts of pictures or gradients. Sometimes it is a driver issue,
sometimes something more.

First, I would suggest visiting the printer manufacturers website to see if
there are any driver updates for your printer. Keep in mind that most
printers are shipped before the latest drivers are available, so even
out-of-the-box, they may have an update available. If there are driver
updates; install them and try printing again. If its fixed - Great! -- if
not, then we'll need to do a work around.

The work around is a method which "flattens" all the layers into a single
image (negating the transparency-of-shapes issue). Here are the steps:

1) Save your presentation
2) Do a "Save As" and pull down the file type to select PNG (or any
other image format)
3) When prompted save all slides on your desktop (so we can find them)
4) Close your presentation
5) Open a new presentation
6) Use the Insert => Picture => Photo Album tool to add all your slide
pictures back in
7) Delete the Photo Album cover slide
8) Print this new presentation
9) Close it without saving

Let me know which method worked for you.
