Macromedia players

Has anybody downloaded and tried out the new Macromedia Flash and
Shockwave players? What do you think of them? There is mention of new
security coding in them that concerns me:

in particular this remark about the Flash player:

Deneb Meketa is an engineer on the Macromedia Flash Player team. He
personally implemented the security changes that are driving you so
crazy right now."
