I attempted to write a macro to automate the process of inserting scanned
pics into a PPT presentation. This was my sequence of key strokes:-
Insert|Picture|From Camera or Scanner|Insert|Preview|Scan|Slide Layout ... I
saved it all, but when I pressed the "run" button it was greyed out. What
did I do wrong?
Using Win XP Pro -- Office XP -- Scanner is Canon 5000F -- Software is
Arcsoft PhotoStudio 5.
Always grateful for any help

cj, I don't think you can make PowerPoint interact with another piece of
hardware (Canon 5000F) or software (Arcsoft PhotoStudio 5) through a macro.

I suggest you scan the pictures outside PowerPoint and then use the Photo
Album feature to insert multiple pictures all at once into PowerPoint:

Did you literally write a macro or did you set the macro recorder running while
you performed the steps above? If possible, post the code in the macro here.
