Carol

Hi. I'm trying to create a macro within Powerpoint that
will automatically close the Powerpoint presentation.

I have a separate file that I'm linking to a Powerpoint
presentation. Once the link gets to that presentation -
I need to be able to create a macro button telling the
user to "close" Powerpoint.

Does anyone know the macro code forthis?
In Excel, it's Activeworkbook.Close
I tried ActivePresentation.Close - but that only closes
the presentation - not Powerpoint. Need to close
powerpoint as well. Thanks!

Carol,
Application.Quit is what you are looking for. It will close all open
presentations and terminate PowerPoint.
