Macro Toolbar in a Template Will Not Run!!!

I really need some help with this...Im using XP with PPT 2003 and i
created a macro in a template...

in the template, i placed a button on a toolbar that will run the
macro...works great in the template, but not the new presentation(.ppt
file) that it creates...

the macro will run in this new file if i go through
tools->macros->run....Any help is appreciated...

First, it could be that the button will reference the macro in the template,
and you might need some sort of code option to get your input as to what
file you want it to run on. It could be that the macro is hard wired in some
way to the template, and so doesn't reference the new file created. Is there
any chance you could post some code, please? Then the vba specialists (not
me <g>) can see if it is the button set up or the code.

VBA in PPT templates doesn't work like it does in Word or Excel.
Generally, you'll want to create an addin:

Create an ADD-IN with TOOLBARS that run macros

hi glenn, thanks for responding...after playing around with the macro,
i just went ahead and created an add-in and it worked great...
