Macro to go to first slide

I have a large program review presentation (250 charts) with 25 presenters
(each briefing their 10 charts). The first chart is the agenda/schedule chart
with a hyperlink to each briefing. Currently, selecting the correct hyperlink
goes to that briefing (this is needed because sometimes the briefers are late
and some one else goes in their slot). I would like to insert a macro (I
think) that returns to this first chart after the briefer does a "next" while
on their last chart (essentially after chart 11, 21, 31, etc). I know I can
attach a hyperlink to an object, but this is beyond the capabilities of my
briefers (!!).
How can I accomplish this? Thanks, HNickM

I think the easiest thing to do, if I understand you correctly, is to put
each of the briefings in a custom show. Now, instead of linking to the
slide with the briefing, link to the custom show and check the "show and
return" checkbox. I think this should do exactly what you want.

A macro might be able to do what you want, but it would be far too
complicated to do anything with a macro that wouldn't be the same as a
regular hyperlink because the macro would have to be triggered somehow,
probably the same way you would trigger the hyperlink. Therefore, I think
the custom show is the way to go.

Are all of these 250 slides in one presentation? Then teach them to press
the "1"-key plus Enter (in show mode) to return to slide no. 1.

Definitely a job for custom shows and "show and return" , there are tutorials
on the PowerPoint Alchemy site too.
