Macro To Fix Spastic IE6 Toolbar?

I posted last week about my brand new WinXP Hewlitt Packard PC whose version
of IE6 refuses to let me save my IE toolbar settings. I like to kill the
links, kill the 'go' button, and compact the thing down super-slim. Keeps
its settings after I reconfigure them twice and do a ctrl-x on the keyboard.

I've given up trying to solve this at launch. I've tried all the tricks
(lock the toolbars, stretch and ctrl-x, right click the icon and 'run
maximized') but nothing keeps my toolbar the way it was before I signed off.
Must be the "HP View" program running on it, but I can't get rid of that
either.

Okay, so here's my question:

If I have to live in a world where every time I reboot the computer my IE
toolbar is a big, fat, overpopulated affair.....

Is there a macro or some script I can write that will "force" IE to take my
super-slim settings? In a perfect world, I double click a macro on my
desktop, it populates the registry with my proper super-slim settings, and
in a fraction of a second IE launches with, ta-da, the super-slim toolbar of
my dreams?

Please help....I'm running out of ideas here.

TIA

I have a
startup item: autotkit
command: c:\hp\bin\autotkit.exe

I also have a file on my computer
c:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\Digital
Imaging\bin\autotbar.exe

Near as I can tell these two are related and pretty sure
autotkit runs autotbar

These are not needed.

It screws up the toolbars in Internet Explorer.
If you disable the "HP VIEW" toolbar in IE.
Move your toolbars around than reboot your computer.
IE will not remember the settings. It will always
put the toolbars back where they were and re-enables
"HP VIEW" toolbar.

If you disable autotkit or autotbar in startup.
Than Internet Explorer will remember it's settings.

Hewlett Packard support says it is not there file and
none of there programs do that. They claim it is spyware
or something I got from the internet that attacked the
hp directory. Both the creation and modification dates
of the files are before I purchased the computer. So
either Best Buy did something or they are lieing.

fix
go to start/run
type msconfig
check selective startup
choose startup tab
uncheck that one that is AUTOTKIT or AUTOTBAR
click ok
restart computer
when the computer comes up it will have a selective
start popup. choose don't show this again.
your set to go.
