I started a worksheet in Excel 2003 and saved it. When I opened it I
received the Macro Security warning. I checked and my macro security was set
to High, so I set it to Medium. Now every time I open this worksheet Excel
asks if I want to enable or disable macros. I enabled the macros in my new
worksheet, then went to Tools, Macro, Macros, and there are no macros in
this worksheet or in any open templates.
Why would Excel give me the security warning to enable/disable macros if
there are no macros in the worksheet? Are there 'hidden' macros that are not
listed in the macro dialog?
My system is fully patched, with all MS Office patches. It is fully
up-to-date.
I am familiar with all of this in Word, but I am a brand new spreadsheet
user and this is the first time I have come across this with Excel. I am
troubled by needing to enable macros that do not appear to be present.
An education would be appreciated!
Sincerely,
Gene
