Macro question about changing shift-enter behavior

I keep typing shift-enter instead of shift-delete when I'm
trying to delete multiple messages, which of course opens
all of them (usually spam). Can I run a macro when Outlook
starts that will make Outlook ask me if that's what I want
to do, or at the very least prevent it from happening?
What would the code of such a macro look like?

No, because Outlook has no events for intercepting key presses.
