Hi,

I send some emails to the managers to fill up some details and send
back.
there is a table in the body of the message where he needs to fill up
and reply back.
when i receive that mail, I copy that table and paste in another file.
but I need the record of the email, example,

FROM: LEO PRASHANTH [MAILTO:[email protected]]
SENT: TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 2008 8:44 PM
TO: FRIENDS
SUBJECT: THE TIGER TEMPLE IN THAILAND

As of now I click forward on that email so i will get the above details
then i copy it and paste again.

Is there a macro, when we receive email all the above details comes in
the body of the message after the table. so that I copy the data along
with the table and paste.

appreciate very much if some helps me on this.

You may use the functions Instr, Left, Right, and Mid to extract whatever
you're looking for. The VBA help file has some more details on that.

Hi ,

Thanks for your reply, But if you could help me finding out how to get
the help file, I can try from there.

In the VBA environment click f2 to open the object browser. Then switch from
<All libraries> to Outlook. Select Items in the left pane and ItemAdd in the
right one. That event tells you when an item gets added to a folder; you
might start with that event.

For any function, just type it and click f1 to get help and (in most cases)
a code sample.

Please come back if you have a specific question.
