Hi everyone.

As I understand things, a macro cannot be "Global" in Power Point,
meaning I can't create one and use it in every presentation.

I also understand there's a workaround, of sorts, requiring the
creation of an add-in.

This page contains information on creating it:
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00031.htm

The only problem with this is: It's really over my head.
(I'll read it again, though--maybe I'll absorb more the second or
third time around.)

Is there any tool out there at all that streamlines this procedure?

Or is it easier for me to just snag the macro code from one
presentation and plug it into a new one? Is that even possible with
Power Point? I admit I haven't tried that yet--I'll wait until I get
a reply here first. Thank you!

JD,
Seems from the next post you've figured out how to create an addin.
Now, just follow Shyam's advice and you should be there. It's really
not all that difficult after you get your feet wet.

Hello,

As you discovered, to make an macro "global" so that it can be available
any time you open up PowerPoint you have to create and add-in.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint another way for making "global" macros, don't forget to send
your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
