I have a client that has a fully functional working powerpoint. She
seems to be incapable of sending it to me with keeping the file
extensions intact for movie files. She has powerpoint 2004 and I have
windows version 2003. Can anyone help me to the steps to get her to
create a self contained folder with working file extensions so that I
can get the presentation? thanks!

To begin with, she'd need to be using a movie file format supported on Windows
(usually the format of choice on Mac is Quicktime, which doesn't play well with
PCs)

You might want to start by having her send you a copy of the smallest of the
movie files in use; see if you can insert it into PPT and have it work. If
not, she'll need to change to another format that you can play back.

Then she should put all of the movie files in the same folder as the PPT and
only then insert the movies into the presentation.

Once that's done, if you keep the PPT and movie files together in the same
folder on your PC, it should work. Stick to a folder with a short path ...
C:\Test for example.
