Hi,
I currently have some units running XP embedded that regularly fall off the
domain to which they are connected. After 30 days of being joined to the
domain, the units will fail to log back onto the domain after a reboot. If a
unit is logged in locally after falling off the domain the usernames that
were used to log onto the domain appear as SID’s and not readable usernames.
The only way to rectify the problem is to rejoin the machine to the domain,
but then the same 30 day cycle starts again.
The XP embedded image is configured to use the file based write filter and
the registry filter with “Enable Domain Secret Key Persistence†enabled.
If anyone has seen similar symptoms to this in the past or can offer any
ideas to fixing the problem I would be most grateful.
Regards
