Machine Check Exception

Trying to install Vista on a Dual AMD Opteron Processor machine. I have 2
SCSI hard Drives, and 8gb of RAM installed. I get a Machine Check Exception
when trying to install Vista. That is all that it gives me and goes no
further. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I get the Machine Check Exception error also. I boot from the install
dvd and after it gets done on the initial loading screen when it gets to
the splash screen it just crashes after about 2 seconds and says
MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION.

I'm running Win XP Pro and also Linux Suse 10.1 and have had no problems
with my pc.
