The FTP protocol is platform independent and should work from a Mac the same
as it would from a Windows PC.
What messages do you receive when you try to connect?
Also, if you're trying to upload files from the Mac to the server, you'll be
out of luck with Mac OS X 10.2. I don't know if this has been changed in Mac
OS X 10.3.

They can connect but cant upload..i dont recall the error
Again, I haven't tested this under Mac OS X 10.3, but earlier versions of
Mac OS X were limited only to connecting to ftp servers and downloading.
They couldn't upload. You probably have nothing wrong with your server and
are just experiencing a limitation of the Mac system.
You can use a third party product such as Fetch, Anarchie or Transmit.
