mac laptop, windows pc printing

I can't seem to print from my mac laptop onto the PC's printer via a home
network. Both systems are set up for file sharing permission and when I
click on the "servers" tab on the laptop, it shows the c drive and the my
documents folder but when you click on them, the folders are empty.
Additionally, when I use the printer setup utility on my mac laptop, it shows
the pc and then when I choose it discover the printer, it disappears. Any
ideas? Thanks!

Hi normancerk,

if any other method doesnt work, then go for the Point and
Print.

On PC ( I assume 2k ) share the printer, and add
additional drivers (ex: power PC/Alpha etc ).

Now browse for the PC from laptop via n/w , look for the
printer ICON on the PC just double click the printer ICON.
with in min, it should download the driver and ready for
printing.

( If it asks for any additional/missing files give it
through laptop at the time of installation or just give
the path for the files)
