Mac Image Capture Doesn't See My Epson 4870

Well, the topic says it all. Image Capture is an application on my Mac
OS 10.3.8. that embeds ColorSync profiles when an image is loaded,
either from a digital camera or scanner. Has anyone had this or a
similar problem & solved it? I don't have Photoshop, by the way.

ColorSync Utility/Device doesn't show profiles for my scanner, either,
even though Epson Scan & SilverFast are installed. Suggestions?

You must install the EPSON Scan Scanning Software.

You have Photoshop Elements 2.0, it is bundled with the Epson 4870, Mac and
Windows versions.

The interface for the Epson 4870 is TWAIN, So you must have a standalone or
TWAIN app.

My 4870 is a Perfection 4870 Photo scanner.

Image Capture does have "Select Twain Source," & I've checked it with
still no result. Thanks for the link to the Epson software. I did
download it before, without result, as I remember, but will try again.
