I could install it with only 2G RAM. All attempts to install Vi$ta x64
when the motherboard was 4G RAM would fail.

After installation using 2G RAM, if I added 2G more RAM to it, Vi$ta
would blue-screen as well.

Why? Something to do with the 4G boundary?

What if I added 4G more RAM rather than 2G?

Too bad there is no way to install the patch DURING installation.
Tech Support at Corsair gets the credit for telling me about it.

I needed to find it out myself... ha...

That is notably pathetic of Microsoft especially since they state the
following: "If you purchased a PC in the last two years, chances are good
that you can run Windows Vista."
We must conclude that they are ignorant of the possibility that someone
might have a MB with more than 3GB or ram installed. And people still pay
for licenses so they can be Microsoft's guinea pig for their latest
downgrade (aka profit opportunity). So sad.
