M Error message

Hi. I'm trying to import avi's from an external hard drive. any advise on how
to handle the transfer when the following error message occurs for every avi
file I'm trying to transfer?
"E:\Philippines Videos\20071027032811.mpg could not be imported. An
interface has too many methods to fire events from."
