i have my windows mail as default mail program. when i start it it downloads
all my mail, however after the first download it doesn't happen again. i
have it set to check for new mail every 1 minute. if i refresh then it says
there are errors but doesn't list any errors.

what is wrong?

Try three or five minutes, that's a bit too soon to have it check multiple
accounts.
 
you are lucky your ISP has not complained.

(e-mail address removed)@sport.rr.com

worked fine with oe6 so don't see why it shouln't with this.
