Lucent WinModem v.90 fax/data

I have dual booted this machine with ME/XP. The modem
works fine under ME. XP sees the modem but the modem will
not handshake with any remote connection. I am having
trouble finding an XP specific driver for this modem. Will
a driver for 2000 also work with XP? I tried the driver
that came with XP, I also tried the driver that was with
ME, both have the same results. The modem mfgr's 'latest'
driver also didn't work for XP.

Modems are picky. If you don't have the right driver, it's not going to
work. On the other hand, modems are pretty cheap. You could buy a new one
with XP drivers included, and save yourself hours of headaches.
