LSP's lost during removal

I hope I'm not the only problem child out here.After
running system scan and removing spyware,I can't access
the net.An error msg. shows "lsp not detected".I've tried
almost anythingmto solve this,to no avail.The only thing
to do was to do a system restore from before spyware
download.

You aren't.

Here's what to do, on XP SP2,

Go to a command prompt--one way is start, run, cmd <enter>

Type in

netsh winsock reset

Hit enter
restart the machine. You will need to reinstall any software which has
added an LSP to the stack--could be a VPN client, or McAfee privacy or some
network security products.

garbage is gone.
