While I am playing on line poker lsass.exe springs into action every now and
again. I understand that this is responsible for verifying passwords...but
whose password is it checking? I'm not in any network and nobody from outside
should be able to access my computer.

Is there a way I can set my firewall, while I'm playing poker so that the
only incoming and outgoing traffic is to and from the poker site?

Thanks Nick

I have exactly the same problem. Since a few days the proces lsass.exe
is running all the time. ALso when I am not connected to the Internet.
I have verified . It is not a fake process but the original microsoft
one.
It has almost no process time but does readings and writings.
SO I have also the same question as Nick:
What the hell is this process doing?
