I have a problem with a laptop running Win 2000
Professional w/SP 3Free installed.
When it boots, the sequence is:
1) Windows starting up box
2) Preparing network connections box is displayed
3) The Login box appears and I can log in
4) Then I get the error message box that says;
"LSass.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
windows. You will need to restart the program. An error
log is being created."
5) Then a system shutdown box appears
"This system is shutting down. Please save all work in
progress... This shutdown was initiated by
NT/Authority/System. The system process C"\WINNT\system32
\lsass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code
1073807364 or 1073741819 (I guess it depends on how it
feels at the time!).
I can boot in safe mode.
I can't find anything of relevance on the MS site.
Any help would be appreciated.
PS - This computer is not connected to a network.
Thanks in advance
